There have been many 2012 books written, but now that we are actually nearing the date where supposedly something great and/or terrible will happen, many more books are being written. Some are fictional stories based upon the prophecies given by the Mayan and Aztec cultures (along with any other civilization that bases their calendar upon the stars), while others are written as non-fiction and trying to inform the public of what they can do to survive the impending catastrophe.
