I was looking into how many people out of state that I have to call for the holidays. I’ve always made it a point to call people every time Christmas comes since I feel that it just makes it more personal if they hear my greetings coming from me. However, with the economic crunch, I’ve been less enthused with carrying out this little tradition.

Fortunately, I found a way to make this much cheaper. I found out that I can actually just call these people up online using my computer. There are many types of software, like Skype, that would allow you to contact your friends and loved ones. It’s similar to using a regular phone really. The quality would depend on your Internet service. Luckily, my business uses a Voice T1 line so I don’t have to worry about hang-ups and interference during my calls.
